10 Acres Of Amazing Fun
The 2017 corn maze will be open Saturday September 23rd through Sunday October 29th. As it has been in the previous years, the farm will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as well as Columbus Day. For school rates and times call the farm at 207-374-9903.
When the sun goes down on October 6th and 7th, come to Homewood Farm and walk through the maze by the light of the moon. From 7:00PM to 9:00PM, for $8.00 per person, we will have our annual full moon walk through the corn maze. There will also be hayrides available. This year hayrides will be $1.00 per person and all proceeds will go to The Berry Huts to help them buy shoes for their missions trip to Nicaragua. There will also be hot and cold drinks along with snacks available to buy.
This year Homewood farm will be hosting our first ever 5K! The owners of The Berry Hut seen in Orland and The Berry Hut II seen in Ellsworth happen to be the son (Sidney Beardsworth) and niece (Cora Gray) of the farm owners. Their business, The Berry Huts and the The Blue Hill YMCA, A Branch of The Downeast Family YMCAare partnering up to make this happen. The race, Soles For Souls, is to help raise money for shoes Sidney and Cora will be taking to Nicaragua with them in November. They will be traveling with @Curtis Lake ChurchCurtis Lake Church on November 10th to Ometepe Island and working with CIRCIN. The race will take place on October 7th at 8:30 a.m. Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. We hope to see you all there!
